2015 Preview: Cleveland Indians

Having just completed my 2015 predictions, I picked the Cleveland Indians to go to the World Series.

That might be the absolute craziest thing I do all year.

But I don’t think the Tribe having a big year is outside the realm of possibility.

Regular Season/Postseason Predictions

Before we dive into the postseason picture, here's how I see the regular season playing out:

2015 Preview: St. Louis Cardinals

The St. Louis Cardinals have been, for the better part of a decade, the class of the National League Central, the National League and baseball as a whole. And while the gap in the Central is closing fast with the up and coming Cubs, the resurgent Milwaukee Brewers and the suddenly consistent Pittsburgh Pirates, I expect the Cardinals to once again remain atop the Central and to be players deep into October.

OK, that’s my prediction, preview over.

HAHA! If only it were that simple.

2015 Preview: Boston Red Sox

Since the San Francisco Giants aren’t going to the win the World Series, it’s the Boston Red Sox turn right?

It could very well be.

However, the biggest argument against the BoSox is they don’t have a true ace, and Curt Schilling says Clay Buchholz doesn’t want to be the ace.

So despite all the investments and late season acquisitions and the crazy amount of money spent in the Cuban marketplace, the Red Sox just can’t compete right?

I have a lot issues with this idea that because the Red Sox don’t have an ace this year, they can’t win the East.

2015 Preview: Pittsburgh Pirates

Now inside the top ten of the power rankings, it’s time to look at the Pittsburgh Pirates who come in at number nine.

What you like about the Pirates is they have found consistency in recent years. After some late season collapses, the last couple of years, the Bucs have grown up a lot and have learned to finish, making the one game Wild Card game two straight years.

Now it’s time for the Buccos to take the next step.

Big question, can they?

I’ll tell you why they can, and why they can’t.

2015 Preview: Miami Marlins

I feel like I have been on two teams that are going to open eyes this summer for a long time, and one is the Miami Marlins.

After spending a ton of money and making big moves just three years ago, that did not necessarily translate to wins (which is why I write the Padres may struggle), the Miami Marlins blew things up, started over.

Now in their third year in Marlins Park, I feel like people are saying the Marlins are going to be good, but I truthfully don’t feel like they realize how good they are actually going to be.
